Zoe Woolley is the Executive Principal of Knowledge Gate International School in Muscat. The school is part of the Inspired Education Group. The school teaches the Omani Bilingual Curriculum alongside the UK National Curriculum. Zoe has been a school leader and headteacher in the region for almost 15 years and understands the importance of combining cultural heritage with an innovative modern education.
During her time as Headteacher of Jeddah Prep and Grammar School, Zoe engaged with Mark Evan’s previous expedition. Her students benefited from daily updates from the team and went into the desert to experience the final stage of the journey. Zoe is committed to bringing the UK National Curriculum to life through real life active learning.
Zoe started her career in a primary school in East London and has worked in both state and independent schools in England. A sense of adventure led her to work in Saudi Arabia in the mid 1990s at the British School of Riyadh.
Zoe has a track record of flying the flag for British schools overseas. She worked for nine years with Repton International. She is a member of the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) and The Council of British International Schools (COBIS).
Zoe is a mother of three daughters, all currently studying in the UK. Her weekends are spent exploring the magnificent landscapes across Oman. She enjoys camping in the desert, swimming in the sea and relaxing around the campfire
