Muhannad Al Kalbani is VP for the Centre of Excellence on Net Zero at the Oman Net Zero Center, where he leads national initiatives on decarbonization strategies, emissions reduction pathways, and sectoral transition planning. His work bridges national net-zero targets and policy implementation, with active contributions to emissions accounting, carbon storage solutions, and governance frameworks. His 15 years of experience span across chemicals, minerals, O&G and academia in the GCC and Australia. He holds a bachelor's and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Queensland and is currently finalizing his PhD at the same university, focusing on carbon geostorage and specializing in in-situ CO₂ mineralization in ultramafic rocks.
