Dr. Said Hamed Al Sarmi is an expert in climate science and policy, with extensive experience in meteorology and climate change analysis. He has served in key roles at Oman’s Directorate General of Meteorology and the GCC Secretariat in Riyadh. He is currently based at the Oman Net Zero Centre (ONZC), Ministry of Energy and Minerals, where he contributes to the development of the national carbon market strategy and emission governance frameworks. His work focuses on aligning science and policy to support Oman’s net zero goals through transparent and effective carbon market mechanisms.
