Sur Desalination Plant - Veolia
Largest Solar Farm Dedicated to a Desalination Plant in the Sultanate of Oman
Built-in 2007, the desalination plant in Sur is helping to provide this vital resource to the local area: The Sur IWP is a global leader in cutting-edge reverse osmosis technology and world-class environment standards. Now, the plant delivers around 131,000 m3/day on average to over 600,000 inhabitants in the Sharqiyah Region. The Sur IWP contains the world’s largest beach well catchment water area.
