NATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Oman Vision 2040 is a roadmap for achieving the Sultanate’s economic and social goals while balancing sustainable development and optimal use of natural resources.

The UN 17 SDGs are interconnected and require the stakeholders, governments, private sector, and civil society to unite in a collaborative partnership.

OSW focuses on advancing Oman’s goal of net zero CO2 emissions by 2050, improving energy access by 2030, and enhancing air quality while leading in emissions reduction.

The Paris Agreement is an additional mechanism for the Sultanate of Oman to achieve cost-efficient emission reductions and facilitate the transfer of carbon mitigation technology.
