Rabab Al Lawati is an early-career wildlife and conservation biologist and the Conservation Outreach Coordinator at the Environment Society of Oman (ESO), Oman’s first and only non-government organisation dedicated to conserving Oman’s natural heritage. Rabab plays a pivotal role in ESO’s research and conservation programmes, including those focused on the Arabian Sea humpback whale, Northwest Indian Ocean loggerhead sea turtles, Egyptian vultures, lappet-faced vultures, and frankincense trees. Rabab has played a key role in developing science communication materials, building research databases, engaging with local communities and collaborating with local government authorities. She remains committed to expanding her experiences and advancing conservation efforts through research, effective management and collaboration. Rabab holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife and Conservation Biology from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia.
