Dr Haibin WAN graduated from Northeastern University of China in 1986. He received his PhD from Bath University in the UK in 1997.
Dr Wan joined National Grid Company in England in 1997 and State Grid Company of China in 2009 where he occupied several high-level functions including sitting at the board of REN, the Portuguese National Transmission Grid .
He is now a consultant of the Global Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO), a non-profit international organization dedicated to promoting the sustainable development of energy worldwide. The purpose of GEIDCO is to foster the establishment of a Global Energy Interconnection (GEI) system, to meet global power demand with clean and green alternatives, to implement the United Nations “Sustainable Energy for All” and climate change initiatives, and to serve the sustainable development of humanity.
In addition to his role at GEIDCO, Dr Wan is also a Senior Adviser of MeForIOT Technology, a global provider of IoT and power solutions focusing on the smart grid.
