Senior Investment Officer and Regional Lead for Sustainable and Climate Finance - Middle East, Central Asia, Türkiye, Afghanistan and Pakistan Infrastructure unit- International Finance Corporation
Jean Morcos is senior investment officer and regional sustainable and climate finance lead for infrastructure at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group. Based in Dubai, Mr Morcos works in the Middle East, Central Asia, Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan (MCT) infrastructure unit at IFC. In this role he provides debt and equity financing to clients covering telecoms, power, renewable energy, transport and logistics, and municipalities, among other sectors. Prior to joining IFC, Mr Morcos worked in London at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Barclays Capital and Standard Bank. He has led, structured and committed more than US$2bn worth of transactions across Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Mr Morcos is a CFA and CAIA charterholder, a fellow chartered accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and a graduate of Oxford University (St Anne’s).
