Hamed Al Mamari leads Oman LNG’s process technology and technical safety while driving the company’s energy transition agenda. He is responsible for advancing LNG process technology by driving liquefaction efficiency improvements, energy integration and digital transformation to enhance plant performance, operational reliability and emissions reduction. His leadership extends to technical safety and risk management, where he ensures world-class process safety, asset integrity and operational resilience. In parallel, he spearheads the company’s decarbonisation, net zero and new energies agenda.
As a member of Oman’s national delegation to the UN Conference of the Parties (COP) and the Oman’s Net Zero initiative, he actively supports the sultanate’s efforts to accelerate the green transition and contributes to shaping climate policies on both national and international levels. Additionally, he contributes to research and development initiatives within local academia, promoting innovation and capacity building for a sustainable future for Oman.
With over 19 years of national and international experience spanning strategic planning, business transformation, operations management, risk and reliability management, process safety and project management, he previously served as regional manager for asset management excellence at Shell International in The Hague, supporting assets across different lines of business. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
