Mohab Ali Al-Hinai is a sustainability enthusiast with almost two decades of experience in the fields of R&D and technology assessment. Since 2017 he has served as vice-president of sustainability and circular economy at the Oman Environmental Services Holding Company be’ah. Before joining be’ah, he was an assistant professor at Sultan Qaboos University, where his research focused on the commercial production of biofuels and commodity chemicals from microorganisms. He holds a BSc and MSc in biotechnology from Sultan Qaboos University and Northwestern University, respectively, and a PhD in biological sciences from the University of Delaware. In addition to his academic credentials, he has earned professional certificates from Harvard Business School (leading and building a culture of innovation) and the University of California, Berkeley (financial planning and analysis).
