About
Hydrogen is a versatile energy solution. Both “green” and “blue hydrogen” show promise for decarbonisation. Green hydrogen, which is produced using renewable energy, is low in emissions but currently cost-intensive. Blue hydrogen, derived from natural gas, is cheaper but raises concerns about methane emissions and the effectiveness of the necessary carbon capture. Their environmental and economic impacts differ significantly. This panel will discuss the trade-offs, infrastructure requirements and policy support for each pathway. How can hydrogen contribute to sustainable energy while managing costs and emissions?
